Our Founder

The Bates Foundation was established by Jamie Bates (pictured left with Joe Bates) to assist disabled individuals with their return to the playing fields of sports and more importantly life.  Jamie has introduced the game of golf to many people of all ages and ability levels.  

He has been a strong advocate of mixing the game of golf with people who have a handicap or disability.  He believes that if one can overcome the challenges of playing golf, then anything is possible. 

Jamie is founding shareholder in The Bates Law Firm, PC in Westminster, Colorado.  He is also very involved in the Broomfield area community with other non-profit and charitable organizations.  "Whether it be playing golf, or other recreational activities, our foundation's goal is to assist persons of all ages and ability levels in their rehabilitation through participation in golf, recreational activities and fellowship."   Jamie Bates
